Rajasthan JJM scam: Ex-minister Joshi's aide arrested in Delhi
Rajasthans Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested Sanjay Badaya, considered a close aide of former state minister Mahesh Joshi, in connection with the alleged Rs 960-crore Jal Jeevan Mission JJM scam. According to the ACB, Badaya is suspected to be the mastermind of the alleged scam and is accused of acting as a middleman in the case. Three accused in the case are still absconding.

Rajasthan's Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested Sanjay Badaya, considered a close aide of former state minister Mahesh Joshi, in connection with the alleged Rs 960-crore Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam. DG ACB Govind Gupta said Bandya, who was returning from Thailand, was detained at Delhi airport in the wee hours of Monday and added that he is being brought to Jaipur. According to the ACB, Badaya is suspected to be the mastermind of the alleged scam and is accused of acting as a middleman in the case. Three accused in the case are still absconding. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier arrested Badaya in 2024, but was granted bail by the Supreme Court. The ACB arrested former minister Mahesh Joshi in the alleged scam on May 7.
