National Assembly Commends Armed Forces Amidst Indo-Pak Conflict

On Monday, Pakistan's National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution commending the country's armed forces for their decisive role during last year's four-day skirmish with India. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar introduced the resolution in the lower house, emphasizing that Pakistan's pursuit of peace should not be mistaken for weakness.

The resolution explicitly warned against any infringement on Pakistan's sovereignty, stating that any aggression would be met with a strong military response. This declaration comes after the Indian military took action through Operation Sindoor, in response to a devastating terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 people, primarily tourists.

The conflict, which escalated but later deescalated through military and diplomatic channels, concluded with an agreement to cease hostilities on May 10, 2025, following comprehensive discussions between military officials from both nations.
