Organ Donation Document Forgery Scandal Unfolds in Kerala
A Kerala-based operation involved in creating forged organ donation documents is under investigation. Police have apprehended six individuals, including mastermind Najeeb. Authorities are now examining the role of hospitals in the fraud. The racket has allegedly been active since August 2023, forging documents of prominent figures and institutions.

The Kerala police have launched a thorough investigation into a fraud operation focused on creating forged documents for organ donations in the state. This revelation comes after six members of the racket were apprehended during a joint operation by the Ernakulam Rural Police and Kochi City Police.
Kochi City Police Commissioner Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar stated that hospitals would also become a focal point of the investigation to determine if they were complicit. Coordinator efforts are underway across police units in the state, aiming to uncover all entities involved in the scandal.
The operation, allegedly active since August 2023, not only created fake documents but also forged letterheads and letters from prominent politicians and police officials. Mastermind Najeeb, who holds a record of 12 criminal cases, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh as part of the extensive crackdown.
