Iran has executed a member of the Sunni militant group Ansar al-Furqan. The execution took place in Sistan Baluchestan, a southeastern province of the country, as reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Tuesday.
The executed individual, identified as Abdoljalil Shahbakhsh, faced charges of armed rebellion against security forces and being a part of a terrorist group.
The Supreme Court upheld his death sentence, indicating the severity of his alleged crimes and the ongoing security concerns in the region.
