The directive, issued by Finance Secretary Rohit Yadav, highlights strict management of resources. It advises the phased transition of all government vehicles to electric ones to promote sustainability and minimize fuel consumption. Moreover, government departments are encouraged to adopt vehicle pooling and reduce fuel expenses for official travel.

A noteworthy element of the directive is the push for digital meetings, mandating that physical meetings be held only when essential, complementing this with a strong endorsement for energy conservation in government offices. These measures, effective immediately, are set to ensure disciplined public expenditure until September 30.
