A tragic accident claimed the lives of two individuals, Baban Kashinath Lagas and Dnyanadev Vishnu Lagas, in Beed district, Maharashtra. A car collided head-on with their motorcycle late Friday night, resulting in instant fatalities.
Locals, distressed by the incident, rushed to the scene to assist before police, transporting the deceased to the District Hospital in Beed. There's now a growing call for interventions to prevent future mishaps. Villagers demand the installation of signboards indicating the proximity of a school and a village and the immediate construction of speed breakers at the accident site.
The area's Sarpanch, Balasaheb Jadhav, criticized the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) for failing to implement necessary precautions, despite the Road Safety Committee's designation of the stretch as an accident-prone zone.
