In a dramatic turn of events, the Shiv Sena staged a protest on Monday outside the Renukai Career Centre headquarters in Latur following the arrest of its founder, Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his purported involvement in the NEET-UG examination paper leak.

The agitated workers of the Eknath Shinde-led party expressed their dissent by defacing the RCC signboards with ink and chanting slogans, blaming Motegaonkar for jeopardizing the futures of numerous students. The protest attracted a crowd, including students and parents, prompting police deployment for security.

Motegaonkar was apprehended after a CBI investigation reportedly led to the discovery of leaked exam materials on his mobile device, suggesting his active participation with an organized group responsible for the breach. The NEET-UG test, which had 23 lakh registrations, was annulled due to the malpractice, necessitating a retest scheduled for June 21.
