An inquiry into birth certificate issuance irregularities has led to legal action against a development officer in Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh, officials reported on Monday. The case focuses on suspected fraud and online entry discrepancies identified across the district's development blocks.
According to District Panchayat Raj Officer Sanjay Kumar Mishra, the probe, prompted by District Panchayat President Aniruddh Tripathi, confirmed preliminary suspicions against Gopal Mishra, the Suriyawan block development officer.
