The Dehradun police took decisive action by attaching the property of Akash Prasad, who faces an arrest warrant and a Rs 1 lakh bounty, officials revealed on Monday. Prasad has been at large for over three months following the daylight murder of Vikram Sharma.
Sharma, a Jharkhand-based gangster, was killed outside a gym near Silver City Cinemas on Rajpur Road in Dehradun on February 13. A Dehradun court issued a warrant to attach Prasad's house, which a police team from Dalanwala executed in Jamshedpur.
The case involves eight accused, including two shooters. Police have already arrested three conspirators and are conducting property attachment proceedings for others still at large. Police confirmed that Prasad was on-site, waiting outside the gym during the shooting.
