At least six individuals met a tragic end due to suspected asphyxiation inside a septic tank under construction in Kalahandi district, Odisha, as confirmed by police sources on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Kariakhunta village, within the jurisdiction of the Madanpur-Rampur police, leaving one more person critically ill.
In response, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended sincere condolences and declared financial aid amounting to Rs 4 lakh for the bereaved families.
