Tragic Accidental Shooting Claims Policeman's Life at Jolly Grant

A policeman stationed at Jolly Grant Airport, Sunil Kumar, died from an accidental gunshot wound when his service weapon discharged at his residence. The tragic event occurred after he tripped, causing the firearm to go off accidentally.

Sunil Kumar, a policeman stationed for guard duty at Jolly Grant Airport, tragically passed away due to an accidental gunshot wound.

The incident occurred at his home in the Ranipokhari area when his service carbine accidentally discharged after he tripped while removing his shoes.

His family, including his son and wife, reportedly heard the gunshot and found Sunil Kumar injured in the courtyard. Despite being rushed to Jolly Grant Hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.

The police, having been informed by the Jolly Grant outpost, have begun inquest proceedings and sent the body for a post-mortem.
