The Amritsar Police have successfully dismantled a cross-border arms smuggling network, apprehending five individuals and seizing eight pistols equipped with live cartridges, according to Gaurav Yadav. This highlights a significant blow to illegal arms trafficking.

Initial findings suggest that the suspects maintained contact with an overseas smuggler through virtual communication channels. It is alleged that weapon and drug shipments were facilitated via drones from across the border, destined for criminal networks in Punjab. Law enforcement has filed charges at the Chheharta police station in Amritsar. Efforts continue to trace further connections and identify additional network members.
