Teen Detained for Violent Attack on Friend After Phone Dispute
A 17-year-old was detained for allegedly attacking a friend with a sickle due to disputes over phone calls to the former's mother. The teenage suspect has been sent to juvenile detention following the serious incident. The victim suffered severe injuries and is under medical care.

A teenager has been detained by authorities following a violent altercation in which he is accused of attacking a long-time friend with a sickle. The incident was reportedly triggered by the victim's phone conversations with the attacker's mother.
The 17-year-old suspect, who had maintained a friendship with Rohit Jhanke for five years, confronted him near Nahur railway station. Using a sickle, the teenager allegedly inflicted severe injuries to Jhanke's head and neck, resulting in his hospitalisation. Following this, local authorities have charged the youth with attempted murder and placed him in a juvenile correction centre. Kanjurmarg police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
