Near Ajmer, a former village head, Ram Singh Choudhary, along with his mother, second wife, and niece were gruesomely murdered and set ablaze in their vehicle. The incident occurred in Shrirampura village, prompting a swift police investigation.
Authorities have detained Ram Singh's first wife and children for their potential involvement. Tensions within the household, attributed to Ram Singh's marital arrangements, reportedly led to frequent disputes, possibly culminating in this tragic event.
The family members are suspected to have used a sharp weapon for the attack before transporting the bodies in an SUV to a highway near their home, where the vehicle was then set on fire using diesel.
Initially thought to be an accident, further investigation suggested foul play, particularly following witness accounts of domestic unrest and violence. Locals have also provided input about the frequent altercations between Ram Singh and his first wife, Sunita.
