Yogi Adityanath has urged a comprehensive overhaul of the training regimen for the Uttar Pradesh Police, focusing on integrating modern technology to meet today's policing challenges. The call came during a high-level review meeting where Adityanath shared his vision of an efficient, disciplined, and publicly trusted police force.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of acquiring skills in cyber crime investigation, forensic science, and effective communication. He instructed officials to incorporate these elements into the training curriculum and to ensure that the learning is both practical and result-oriented. New initiatives include role-based online training programmes and facilities such as drone and cyber forensic labs.
The state's Police Academy and training facilities are expanding their capacity, with innovations including the addition of sensitivity modules. This move is supported by the progress seen under the Centre's Mission Karmayogi initiative, with substantial training completion reported via the iGOT portal. Adityanath called for continuous innovations and accountability in training to prepare officers to respond adeptly, courteously, and professionally to various challenges.
