The police department in Andhra Pradesh is escalating efforts to safeguard women and children by proposing the 'Shakti Suraksha War Rooms' initiative. This move will incorporate various technological monitoring systems like CCTV, drones, and GPS-based patrols alongside social media analysis.

Directed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and police head Harish Kumar Gupta, the project encompasses constituency-wide outreach efforts to raise awareness on women's safety, child protection, and cyber security. These steps are part of a broader strategic focus on victim support and conviction-based policing, aiming for greater public engagement and fast-tracking legal processes against offenders.

Special teams and community clubs have been set up to aid crime prevention, while existing structures like the SOS Security and My Beat App encourage public participation. Educational programs are being organized to inform citizens about emergency responses and safe practices on digital platforms.

Within Nellore district, numerous initiatives are underway, including the formation of 'Shakti Warrior' teams, focused community policing, and self-defence training in schools, all to combat increasing risks from digital interactions and ensure robust frameworks for women's and children's safety.
