The persistent 'Operation Sheruwali' continued for a seventh straight day on Friday, as Indian security personnel seek to neutralize two to three Pakistani terrorists concealed in the rigorous jungle terrain of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. Meanwhile, a new anti-terror effort was initiated in the neighboring Poonch district, triggered by intelligence about terrorist activities.
In the Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla region, security forces have deployed heavy firepower against suspected terrorist refuges as they track shifting insurgents across challenging landscapes. Joining forces, police and security initiated targeted searches in Poonch's Surankote area upon receiving information on potential terrorist presence. As military efforts persist, high-ranking officials have assessed the ongoing operations, reinforcing additional troops and resources to secure the locality.
As operations proceed, intensified vehicle inspections and drone surveillance contribute to a fortified search effort throughout the affected regions, marking a significant joint endeavor by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and paramilitary units.
