During a visit to Kutch in Gujarat, Amit Shah revealed transformative plans for India's Border Security Force. Highlighting the Modi government's initiative, Shah emphasized a shift from traditional border security to a new concept of 'territorial security'. This change will involve collaboration among public, civil administration, local police, military, and BSF personnel, aiming for a more comprehensive approach to national security.

The strategy includes the establishment of a quadrangular security grid loaded with advanced technology like drones, radar, and modern fencing to create a formidable barrier. These initiatives, showcasing a significant financial commitment, are part of the Smart Border Security Project. Shah affirmed that this robust setup, once completed, will prevent any breaches. Additional infrastructure upgrades will support this security overhaul along India's borders, including vital connecting roads, watchtowers, and public amenities.

Shah also inaugurated two new outposts, reinforcing BSF's operational capabilities, with the support of Gujarat's political and security leadership. This effort marks the 60th year of BSF's service with a commitment to transforming border security into a community-integrated and technologically advanced framework.
