The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) is set to conduct an audit of the valuables and assets of the temples under its jurisdiction. The board's president, K Jayakumar, announced on Saturday that an updated digital record system will be employed to secure these records from tampering.

This initiative aligns with a directive from the Kerala High Court, issued to bolster transparency in temple governance. The decision comes against a backdrop of recent allegations regarding missing valuables from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, charges the temple's administration disputes. Nonetheless, the government has committed to investigating the claims, and the board will address these issues in an upcoming meeting.
