Adityanath Advocates Modern Training for UP Home Guards

Yogi Adityanath stressed the necessity for modernizing the Uttar Pradesh Home Guards amidst growing challenges. During a review meeting, he urged that the force be equipped with contemporary technology and advanced training, to enhance their capabilities in maintaining law and order, disaster management, and public service.
Adityanath further directed that the modernization process, infrastructure improvements, and expansion of training capacities be conducted promptly. Emphasizing transparent and fair recruitment, he highlighted the crucial role that home guards play, not only alongside police forces but also in disaster relief and public awareness campaigns.
The statement noted that extensive training efforts have been made with many guards prepared as 'Aapda Mitra' for disaster relief, while others have specialized in fire and flood rescue operations. Driven by the goal to develop a disciplined and capable force, the chief minister underscored adherence to timelines for all proposed reforms.
