Turkey seeks to avoid harming allies in Syria offensive - defence ministry

Turkish forces which launched a military operation in northeast Syria are taking great care not to harm allied troops in the area, Turkey's defense ministry said on Wednesday. Turkey started to air and artillery strikes on several targets near the border, days after U.S. forces pulled back from two observation posts in the region. French and British forces have also operated in the area.
The ministry also said Turkish operation in northeastern Syria is only targeting militants and their bases, weapons, tools.
