25 Lankan fishermen held for venturing into Indian waters

A total of 25 Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested Monday for allegedly fishing in Indian waters, Coast Guard officials here said The Lankans with the boats and catch were being brought to Karaikal port and were expected to reach it on Tuesday morning, commanding officer of Karaikal Coast GuardStation SR Nagendran told reporters The fishermen would be handed over to authorities here for inquiry, he said.
