In Faridabad, demolition operations around Masjid Chowk have extended into a second day as part of efforts to clear the area for major infrastructure initiatives. Municipal authorities, complying with the National Green Tribunal's directives, targeted illegally constructed structures on government lands.

The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority commenced the construction of a new slip road, promising completion within a month. These actions are part of broader plans to develop an elevated road and the Namo Bharat RRTS corridor, vital infrastructure projects for the region.

In addition to a large mosque, the demolition targeted a temple, shops, and residential buildings, all on public land. Notices were issued to occupants prior to the event, but demolition proceeded after the deadline for removal passed.
