Over 4.35 lakh students will appear for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board examination in Kerala, beginning Wednesday. A release from the state education department said 4,35,142 students are appearing for the 10th standard examination for which 2,923 centres have been set up in the state besides nine centres each in Lakshadweep and Gulf countries. The examinations would conclude on March 28.
This year, total number of girls taking up the examinations are 2,12,615, it said. Malappuram district in northern Kerala would witness the maximum number of students--27,436. The state government has set up 54 centralised camps for the valuation of the answer sheets. "Valuation will take place in two phases, beginning on April 5 and end on May 2," it added..
