809 grams of smuggled gold seized at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

The Air Intelligence Unit of Hyderabad Police has arrested one person at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and seized 809 grams of smuggled gold. According to the police, the accused was travelling to Dubai and was carrying 809.920 grams of gold worth Rs 26,07,942.
The seized gold was concealed by making it silver coated frames and placing them in a popcorn maker and foot massager. This was detected while scanning the passenger's check-in baggage, said the police. Further investigation is underway
