National Lok Adalat at all court centres in Ker on July 13 Thiruvananthapuram, July 9 (PTI): Kerala Governor P Sathasivam Tuesday urged people to make use of the National Lok Adalat, to be held at all Court centres in the state on July 13, for speedy resolution of their long pending cases. The Lok Adalat is not confined to court cases alone and will deal with criminal compoundable cases, Motor Accident claims, Civil cases, Revenue cases, Electricity and Water (excluding theft) cases, Sales Tax, Income Tax, Indirect Taxes, Banking, Insurance, Pay related service matters and retiral benefits, a Raj Bhavan press release said.
The Adalat will also include disputes on survey and boundary, transfer of registry, mutation matters, land disputes including compensation for acquisition, labour disputes and claims about heirship and property tax. The Governor also requested government departments, authorities and Public sector units concerned to help people in bringing such matters to this forum by actively liaising with legal service authorities and committees..
