The Delhi Police has reunited over 100 children who were missing from across India, officials said Monday. Total 106 children, including 16 girls and three Divyangs, missing from January 1 to July 13, 2019 were handed over to their families, they said.

The missing children hailed from Delhi and states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, a senior police officer said. Police had reunited 101 children with their parents in 2018, they said.

They had visited various shelter and juvenile homes in Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) and found the 106 missing children who have now been reunited with their families, police added. PTI NIT

Major fire at footwear factory in Delhi's Keshav Puram New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) A fire broke out on Monday morning at a footwear factory in northwest Delhi's Keshav Puram, officials said.

According to the fire department, information about the blaze was received around 8 am, following which 22 fire engines were rushed to the spot. The fire was doused at around 10 am and no casualty was reported, the officials said. PTI NIT

Two arrested for robberies in south Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) Two men were arrested for allegedly snatching mobile phones and gold chains in south Delhi, police said Monday.

Nine mobile phones, one gold chain, one motorcycle, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were seized from the accused. The accused were identified as Mohammad Bilal (22) and Mohammad Imran (19), they said.

According to a senior police officer, a trap was laid near Madanpur Khadar on Sunday and the accused were arrested at around 5 pm. PTI NIT

******************* Man held, two juveniles apprehended for robbing cars

New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) A 20-year-old man was arrested and two juveniles were apprehended for allegedly robbing cars in the national capital, police said on Monday.

The arrested accused was identified as Ajay, a resident of Badli in Haryana, they said. On June 23, the accused overpowered a person in south Delhi and drove away his car, along with the victim, to Haryana.

They robbed his car and other valuables including a mobile phone and then fled away after tying his hand and legs with the help of towels to a tree in a field near Kulasi village. During investigation, the accused were arrested on the Sultanpur Karala Road on Saturday, they said, adding that one country-made pistol, one live cartridge and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession. Two arrested for cellphone snatchings in east Delhi New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) Two men were arrested for allegedly snatching mobile phones from people in east Delhi, police said Monday.

The accused were identified as Sanatan Majhi (22) and Swapan Majhi (25), they said. They were arrested on Saturday at around 7 pm from near Dallupura village here, a senior police officer said, adding that one motorcycle, one country-made pistol, 125 mobile phones and one laptop were recovered from their possession.
