Maoist leader arrested in Jharkhand

A Maoist leader, wanted in several cases of arson and violence in Bihar and Jharkhand, was on Thursday arrested during a raid in Palamu district, a CRPF officer said on Thursday. Arundev Sharma, the commandant of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), said Vijay Yadav alias Jalebi Yadav was apprehended in a joint operation with the Palamu police.

"We had information that Yadav was seen in Harihargang police station area. He did not resist when we arrested him," Sharma told PTI, adding that senior police officers are interrogating him.
