Prohibitory orders imposed in entire Hailakandi district

The Hailakandidistrict administration has imposed prohibitory orders underSection 144 CrPC in the entire district, Deputy CommissionerKeerthi Jalli said on Tuesday

The decision was made following reports that someelements and groups are trying to disturb the peace in thedistrict, Jalli said

The deputy commissioner's order banned assembly offive or more persons in public places, carrying of weapons orfire arms, holding public meetings or rally until the order iswithdrawn.
