Eleven persons from Haryana were arrested for allegedly using electronic gadgets to cheat during an online examination of the Staff Selection Commission conducted in Powai here, police said on Thursday. Accordig to police, the exam was held on Tuesday.

"These 11 candidates, appearing for the exam, were found in possession of microphones, SIM cards and bluetooth collar devices," a police official said. Based on a complaint filed by the supervisor of the exam centre, they were booked under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and Other Specified Examinations Act, 1982, and later placed under arrest, he added.
