Tata Trusts to collaborate with Maha govt to upgrade ITIs

Maharashtra Finance Minister AjitPawar said on Friday that the 450-odd Industrial TrainingInstitutes (ITIs) in the state would be upgraded incollaboration with the Tata Trusts

The Tata Trusts would invest Rs 10,000 crore while thestate government would contribute Rs 1,500 crore to theproject, Pawar told reporters here

Upgrading of infrastructure and courses taught at ITIswas the need of the hour, he said.
