Polices involved in Gajajeira case to be punished, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares confirms

Police officers accused of abuse on December 3 during an operation intended to seize goods belonging to the vendors of Gajajeira market in Luanda will be punished.

The pledge came from the Interior minister, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, who confirmed the fact recently.

The protesters alleged that some police officers and supervisors stormed several sites where they kept their products and seized the goods without any guidance, under the guise of Rescue Operation, underway across the country.
