Dynamic Youth Movement of Ghana is all set to launch a campaign on January 28 to put pressure on the government to find solutions to the high unemployment rate in the country.

The campaign is said to be highlighting the socio-economic impacts of the high unemployment rate among the youth in the country and suggest some solutions to the government. It (the campaign) is dubbed Urgent Action on Youth Unemployment Campaign.

"The growing number of unemployed youth in the country is detrimental to the country's development hence the need for such a dialogue between stakeholders," a statement reads which has been signed by Edward Tuttor, Executive Convener of the group. The project looks forward not only highlighting the ramifications of the alarming rate of youth unemployment, but also the urgent need for immediate measures to improve the situation which poses a threat to national security.

According to Tuttor, the launch will bring together major stakeholders, including political parties the Trades Unions Congress (TUC), Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), people from the academia, students unions, and some civil society organisation, as reported by Graphic Online.

The group has so far immensely contributed to the national discourse, particularly on national issues affecting the youth.
