TAAG (Angola Airlines) will operate the Luanda - Ilha do Sal route (Cape Verde) starting on April 26 with the inaugural direct flight scheduled for 11 am resuming after four years of a halt from 2016, due to operational strategy.

TAAG's spokesman, Carlos Vicente, confirmed to Angop Wednesday, that the return to the Angolan capital should take place on the same day, travelling for about four hours, to start on Sunday April 28 with commercial flights.

The official said that the subsequent flights will take place during the night, with stopover in São Tomé and Príncipe, with two flights a week between these three African capitals, the Cape Verdean city of Sal serving as a bridge to the city of Havana, capital of Cuba.
