Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Friday urged Delhi LG VK Saxena to launch a probe into allegations of corruption levelled against him by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Accusing the AAP government in Delhi of running a “vicious campaign” against him, Dikshit said met Saxena here and submitted a three-page letter to him.
“Met LG Delhi and rqstd (requested) him to institute an inquiry into all the various allegations of corruption that Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia and their media and party lapdogs have been spreading about me in last 8 years and either prosecute me or prove them as liars,” he tweeted sharing a letter that he handed over to Saxena.
In the letter, Dikshit, who is the son of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, accused the Kejriwal government of running an “entirely fabricated and fraudulent and vicious campaign” by issuing statements in public and media about his assets and businesses.
“One is that over the last two years and even now, I have come to know, through people asking me directly as well as feedback from colleagues and friends that a malicious campaign is still going on, sponsored by Arvind Kejriwal personally, and his party people against me. This campaign speaks of businesses, industries and properties that I am alleged to own, or have invested in,” he said in the letter.
“Arvind Kejriwal has also personally spoken of such allegations to his political colleagues, police officials, bureaucrats and journalists, auto drivers, bus drivers etc., and I believe that I cannot take this as just the habitual uttering of a mentally sick person,” he said.
Dikshit also shared a list of businesses related to him.
“Inquiries be conducted on each of these alleged properties and businesses of mine. These investigations must be conducted with seeking evidence and the truth from Arvind Keiriwal and his colleagues, and others who I name as witnesses below, as they have very often in public claimed to have knowledge and proof of these allegations,” the letter read.
