Meral Aksener, leader of Turkey's right-wing IYI Party, will attend a meeting of the main opposition alliance on Monday, a party spokesperson said, after she split from the bloc last week over a disagreement about its presidential candidate.
Earlier, Aksener proposed that Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu and Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavas, both from the Republican People's Party (CHP), become vice presidents if the opposition beats President Tayyip Erdogan in the May 14 election. A CHP official told Reuters the party would accept the offer.
