Ukraine's Zelenskiy: Greater Russian losses in Avdiivka will worsen its overall situation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday that greater losses inflicted on Russian forces near the shattered town of Avdiivka would make Moscow's overall position worse in its conduct of the war.

"The more Russian forces are destroyed near Avdiivka, the worse the overall situation will be for the enemy, for the course of the war," Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address.

He said Russian forces were losing men and equipment faster around Avdiivka than they did during months of battles near Bakhmut to the northwest.
