China, Japan should reaffirm mutually beneficial ties - Xi

China and Japan should reaffirm the positioning of their "strategic relationship of mutual benefit", and give it new meaning, Chinese President Xi Jinping told Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Xi said he was "very happy" to meet with Kishida, and called on both countries to focus on common interests and properly handle differences.
The leaders met on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco on Thursday.
