Hungarian opposition requests extraordinary session to ratify Sweden's NATO bid

Hungarian opposition parties have submitted a motion calling for an extraordinary session of parliament to ratify Sweden's NATO bid on Monday, opposition lawmakers told Reuters.

Parliament speaker Laszlo Kover said last week there was no urgency for any extraordinary move to ratify Sweden's NATO accession and had signalled opposition attempts at an extra session would likely fail.
