US Secretary of State Blinken congratulates Indonesian president-elect Prabowo

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated Indonesia's Prabowo Subianto, who was on Wednesday officially declared the winner of last month's presidential election.

Blinken said: "We extend our sincere congratulations to Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto on his victory and once again applaud the Indonesian people for their robust turnout and commitment to democracy and the rule of law."

Defence Minister Prabowo won nearly 60% of votes in the world's third-largest democracy.
