Bihar recorded a voter turnout of 48.86% in eight Lok Sabha constituencies by 5 pm on Saturday, officials reported.

Polling commenced at 7 am in constituencies including Patna Sahib, Patliputra, and Arrah, continuing till 6 pm. The highest turnout was observed in Patliputra at 56.86%.

Key candidates in the fray include Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti. Authorities implemented heatwave mitigation plans to ensure voter safety.
