The alliance projected a strong showing, anticipating more than 295 seats, which they deemed sufficient to form the next government, according to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Addressing the media, Kharge attributed their confidence to what he described as a 'people's survey,' reflecting feedback gathered from the electorate. He emphasized that their party workers have been instructed not to leave the counting halls until all procedures are completed.
Kharge also mentioned that alliance leaders have requested a meeting with the Election Commission to address their concerns. Prominent figures such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were in attendance, reinforcing the bloc's collective resolve.
