In a concerning development, BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav's convoy came under attack in Patna, police confirmed on Sunday. The incident led to the arrest of Bikash Yadav, a Masaurhi resident, while eight other suspects remain at large.
Yadav, who was targeted in the attack, stated that he and his followers were ambushed by RJD supporters shortly after polling concluded in the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency. He reported that several of his supporters sustained injuries during the incident, which transpired around 7.30 pm in the Masaurhi area.
Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary condemned the attack, highlighting it as indicative of RJD's reliance on violence. He called for stringent action by the Election Commission against those responsible. Fortunately, Ram Kripal Yadav escaped unhurt, but the attack has raised serious concerns over electoral violence.
