Repolling Underway in West Bengal: Key Updates from Barasat and Mathurapur Booths
Repolling is taking place at one booth each in Barasat and Mathurapur Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal. The process started at 7 am and will end at 6 pm. Till 11 am, voter turnouts recorded were 31.62% in Deganga and 21.37% in Kakdwip. The decision for repolling was made based on reports from respective officials.

Repolling commenced on Monday at specific booths in the Barasat and Mathurapur Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal, according to local officials.
The process began at 7 am and is scheduled to continue until 6 pm, the officials stated.
The booth in Barasat is located at Kadambagachi Saradar Para FP School within the Deganga assembly segment, while the Mathurapur booth is at Aaddir Mahal Srichaitanya Bidyapith in the Kakdwip assembly seat.
As of 11 am, voter turnout was 31.62 per cent at booth no. 61 in Deganga and 21.37 per cent at booth no. 26 in Kakdwip, according to a senior official.
The decision for repolling was made on Sunday based on reports from returning officers, district election officers, and relevant observers.
Initial voting in Mathurapur and Barasat was conducted on June 1 during the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha election.
