Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has called for a complete ban on exit polls in India, arguing that they have repeatedly been proven inaccurate.

Exit polls released on Saturday projected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to secure a third consecutive term, with the BJP-led NDA likely to win a significant majority in the Lok Sabha elections.

During a press conference, Singh stated, 'Exit polls should be completely banned in the country since they have been proven wrong not once but many times. This is a wrong attempt to influence the people of the country, the administrative system, and the election commission before the poll counting.' He predicted that the INDIA bloc would gain 295 seats post-count on June 4.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal supported Singh's sentiment on Sunday, asserting that all exit polls predicting a third term for the BJP-led NDA were 'fake.'

'Yesterday's exit polls were released, and I can assure you in writing that they are fake. In Rajasthan, there are 25 parliamentary seats, yet one exit poll claimed they would win 33 seats. What was the rationale behind releasing fake exit poll results?' Kejriwal questioned.
