Bihar Set for Counting Votes Under Tight Security

All necessary preparations have been completed for the counting of votes in 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. The process will start at 8 am on Tuesday at 36 centers. Votes from the Agiaon assembly by-election will also be counted. The EC has deployed observers, and security personnel are in place.

Bihar is poised for a crucial phase as vote counting begins for 40 Lok Sabha seats under heightened security measures, according to election officials.

The counting will kick off at 8 am on Tuesday at 36 designated centers spread across the state.

Additionally, votes from the by-election to the Agiaon assembly seat under the Arrah Lok Sabha constituency are also set to be tallied.

Voter participation in the general election was recorded at 56.19 percent.

Observing the process, the Election Commission has deployed observers to ensure a smooth operation. An official from the CEO's office remarked that the electoral fate of 497 candidates would be determined.

Adequate security personnel have been deployed at the counting centers to maintain order and safety.
