Southern States Witness Political Shift: BJP Gains Ground, Congress and DMK Maintain Strongholds

In the latest Lok Sabha polls, the BJP-led NDA is making significant gains in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, while Congress and DMK continue to dominate in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, respectively. Notably, the BJP's southern focus is yielding results as they lead in several constituencies across the South Indian states.

The BJP-led NDA is making notable strides in southern states like Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, with the latest trends from the Lok Sabha polls indicating a surge ahead of other parties. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, the ruling blocs led by the DMK and Congress, respectively, continue their strong performances.

Focused efforts by the BJP to secure seats from the five southern states and two Union Territories seem to be paying off. In Karnataka, the BJP leads in 18 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats, with its ally JD(S) ahead in three. The ruling Congress has its nominees leading in seven.

In Andhra Pradesh, the NDA is leading in 20 out of 25 seats, with key alliances like N Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP dominating 15, BJP leading in three, and Janasena Party in two. In close contests, Congress and its allies continue to lead in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, signaling another strong showing in these regions.
