Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik finds himself in a tight race in the Kantabanji assembly seat, trailing his nearest rival, Laxman Bag of the BJP, by 63 votes, according to data from the Election Commission of India (ECI).

However, the political veteran and BJD supremo is leading in the Hinjili assembly seat. Patnaik has secured a lead of 2,513 votes over his nearest competitor, Sisir Kumar Mishra, in Ganjam district's Hinjili constituency.

These mixed fortunes highlight the unpredictable nature of the current electoral landscape in Odisha.
