In a strong statement, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted that the people of India have dismissed the 'Modi guarantee' in the recent Lok Sabha polls, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to step down and not seek another term.
Addressing reporters, Reddy highlighted the decline in the BJP's Lok Sabha seats from 303 in 2019 to 240, while noting that the INDIA bloc's vote share is almost equal to that of the BJP, with 41.1% compared to the BJP's 42.9%.
He also indicated symbolic defeats for the BJP, such as losing the Faizabad constituency in Uttar Pradesh, and emphasized the Congress party's mixed but encouraging performance in Telangana, winning eight out of 17 Lok Sabha seats.
