Congress Criticizes Modi's NDA Remarks and Statue Relocation

They also labeled the NDA as 'Nitish-Naidu Dependent Alliance' and demanded an explanation for the relocations.

The Congress has taken a sharp jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that he mentioned the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) more frequently in a single speech than in the past decade. This critique came during a meeting of the NDA on Friday, where Modi delivered an hour-long address.

Furthermore, the Congress accused the current administration of shifting statues of national icons like Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar within the Parliament complex. This action, part of a broader landscaping effort, was labeled by Congress leader Pawan Khera as a move borne out of frustration over BJP's electoral shortcomings.

Khera added that these relocations occurred without the consent of parliamentary committees dedicated to heritage maintenance and the installation of national leaders' portraits. This lack of due process, he argued, calls for a public explanation.
